Olavarrieta: En publicidad ya no hay límites

d expósito & Partners appointed Paco Olavarrieta, award-winning creative leader and well-kown innovator in the U.S. Hispanic Market and the multicultural arena, as the new Partner and CCO of the independent U.S. Hispanic agency. “Paco is here to ignite creative excitement in all our disciplines and to mine and expand the strategic vision for clients in an industry of accelerated and constant transformation” said Daisy Expósito-Ulla, Chairman/CEO, and Jorge Ulla, Chief Ideation Officer, both Founders of the agency in a joint announcement released in New York. “Olavarrieta is a bold visionary with whom we share an instinct for constant renewal, an inspired game-changer with a proven record, and an entrepreneurial spirit, whose creativity has a winning zest to find the destination beyond” they added. For Olavarrieta this new appointment is “the right challenge at the right time, in the right city.” He said Daisy was not only an icon of the U.S. Hispanic Market but also a friend, the same goes for Ulla. “We share views, values, a sense of humor and a vision for solid and compelling communication” he said. But he explained that what stood out for making his decision, was “that both of them mentioned and emphasized that they now wanted to daringly move the communication of an already successful agency from efficient to exciting, and that’s, to me, what will make it fun!” Olavarrieta’s campaigns during his career in the U.S. Hispanic market have garnered various prizes, among them, CLIO, Cannes Lions and El Ojo de Iberoamérica Olavarrieta started his career in Mexico as a Copywriter for Leo Burnett. 20 years ago, he began his U.S. career at the award-winning agency Del Rivero Messianu (now ALMA DDB). He also held a top Creative position at The Vidal Partnership during its heyday. Afterwards, he had a most notable career during which he had led his own creative shop, Olé; followed by his experience as Chief Creative Office of Dieste until December 2016.
