Barry Wacksman, nuevo CSO global de R/GA

Barry Wacksman, veteran at the R/GA agency was promoted to Global CSO. This week the promotion was announced and they explained that they are parting ways with their New York Planning Director. These are the most recent of a series of changes that the IPG agency has gone through during the summer. “We are very happy to announce that after 16 years as Head of Growth, Barry Wacksman, was appointed Global CSO of R/GA” said an agency spokesperson. The new CSO is already working with the Planning and Strategy teams of the global R/GA network to continue evolving their practices and ensuring they are satisfying clients’ changing needs.Wacksman, a widely published writer and co-author of Connected by Design, joined R/GA in 1999, when the company was a scrappy startup with less than 50 employees. The agency describes him as a key architect of their digital strategy The Connected Age, which posits that the best way to serve clients is with “a connected ecosystem of products, services and communications.”In his new role, Wacksman will report directly to Bob Greenberg, CEO and founder of the agency. R/GA also confirmed that Graham Phillips, New York Insights and Planning, will no longer be with the team. They still haven’t disclosed information about the new person who will take his position.
