Verizon: 5G Will Change the Way We Live and Connect

Ivan Markman, Chief Business Officer at Verizon Media, was one of the speakers invited to Advertising Week LatAm, where he spoke in a conference about the impact that significant connections will have in the region. “At Verizon Media, we think that 5G (the fifth generation wireless technology for digital cellular networks) will bring a fourth industrial revolution and will change the way we live and connect in many ways. For advertisers it offers many opportunities regarding content production, 3D formats, real-time content, personalization, experiences based on location, processing in real time and interactivity. That means brands could provide new types of consumer experiences and connect with them in special ways,” he said. This is the second time that Verizon Media has been represented at Advertising Week LatAm, which Markman called a unique chance to show the local market what they are contributing to the industry and how Verizon Media is prepared to be the best partner to help increase business. “Mexico is a key country for our company and soon we will share some good news in that regard,” he added. He was enthusiastic about what a great meeting this was: “From my perspective, it brings together all the top players in our market. I’m thrilled to be here for the first time, showing how 5G is going to change the way we live and connect.” For Verizon Media, 2020 is all about growth. “We are focusing on immersive experiences, innovations both on the consumer side with iconic brands like Yahoo, TechCrunch and Engadget, and also on the B2B (business-to-business) side, with some of the best advertising solutions on the market. We have a complete ecosystem to do it in,” Markman said. “Likewise, we provide a unique intersection for connecting content with commerce. We are consolidating agreements for many important partnerships in LatAm and also in other regions.”
