Sebastian Borensztein is an Argentine director who has won fame throughout Latin America and the world. In his native land he is a winner of the Konex Award and has been honored as one of the five best directors of the decade.He comes from a family of actors and was himself trained as an actor, so he has a keen understanding of that side of the industry. “I know how to work with them and, for me, working with actors is very gratifying, Borensztein says.In the year 2000 he created the television series Tiempo final (Time running out), which broke ratings records in Argentina and has aired in more than 50 countries. The series was sold to FOX for Latin America and for new versions in Spain, Russia, Israel and other countries. Tiempo final was such a hit that it was nominated for an Emmy and won Borensztein a Martin Fierro Award for Best Director in 2001.In the field of advertising, Borensztein worked several years at McCann, Ogilvy and Lintas Worldwide.
