BBC Showcase- Shooting of the Argentinean version of BBC’s The Great Bake Off began in Buenos Aires

The shooting of the Argentinean version of BBC’s The Great Bake Off, successful BBC format, that will be called El Gran Pastelero, began in Buenos Aires and in upcoming months will be launched on the Telefe screen.

The series, that has already been sold to 20 countries around the world, is a contest to choose the best baker among 12 participants. The Argentinean version will be led by the chef Christophe Krywonis, who became massively famous for being one of the jurors of the different editions of MasterChef, which was also aired on Telefe.

BBC Worldwide, also recently sold its first format to an Uruguayan channel. It was El Gran Uruguayo, a series based on the British format Great Briton, that will be aired on Canal 10.

In this series, the audience nominates and finally chooses a person who will be crowned as the greatest Uruguayan in history. The production will include the Uruguayan history professor, actor, comedian and host Diego Delgrossi.
