Bella Calamidades premieres in the U.S. on SOi TV

The Spanish-language social television network SOi TV has announced the premiere of Bella Calamidades in the U.S. on Oct. 15. The program, written by Julio Jimenez, has already seen its share of success on the global level, including in Europe and Latin America. The stars of the show include Danna García of soap operas like Pasion de Gavilanes and Que Bonito Amor, Segundo Cernadas of El Fantasma de Elena, Adriana Campos of Vecinos, and Katie Barberi of Ambición, Mi Corazón, and El Fantasma de Elena.The storyline, which was adapted from the original Colombian drama Lola Calamidades, is similar to a Cinderella tale. A beautiful woman escapes the evils of society to find fortune and true love. Bella Calamidades gained an average of 20.9% audience participation and an overall 2,128,000 viewers during its entire running time.
