Canal Once: Taller De Actores Profesionales highlights the strength of Mexican film

Canal Once premiered the fifth season of the special Taller De Actores Profesionales TAP (13×51’), hosted by Óscar Uriel, and dedicated to filmmakers such as Alfonso Arau, Carlos Carrera, Alberto Cortés and Diego Luna, among others.During the presentation, Enriqueta Cabrera, General Director of Canal Once, said this show speaks to the quantity and quality of talent in the film industry in Mexico.”This is the fifth season. We’ve done it with actors and now with directors, allowing us to learn more about their work and experience. It brings us closer to the world of film and showcases the huge number of film producers, directors and actors in Mexico, and the strength of the country’s industry today,” said Cabrera.For actor and producer Bruno Bichir, “TAP is part of the responsibility of preserving the history of Mexican theater and film; treasuring the records of each conversation and identifying ourselves as a society.” TAP is produced by Montserrat Escalona with content development by Sandra Matilde. The production company is Producciones Escarabajo, led by Bruno Bichir.Finally, Cabrera announced that the channel would continue to foster relationships with networks such as Discovery and BBC, as well as with domestic production companies to work on successful international multi-platform projects, similar to what YouTube and iTunes are doing where they have over 6,000 pieces of content.Taller De Actores Profesionales airs Saturdays at 9:30pm.
