Centroamérica TV secures exclusive U.S. TV rights to the 2016 Miss Universe Guatemala pageant

Centroamérica TV has acquired the exclusive U.S. rights to air the 2016 Miss Universe Guatemala pageant. The prestigious event will take place at the Forum Majadas in Guatemala City, Guatemala, on Sunday, August 28, 2016, and will broadcast live on Centroamérica TV at 9pm ET/6pm PT.The 2016 Miss Universe Guatemala pageant will determine who will represent Guatemala at the 2016 Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines on January 30, 2017. Fifteen contestants will compete for the crown and the chance to represent their country in the 65th edition of Miss Universe. “We are thrilled to bring our viewers the Miss Universe Guatemala Pageant live on Centroamérica TV. For the first time, Guatemalans living in the U.S. will be able to view the pageant at the same time as their relatives back home. Miss Guatemala has never won the Miss Universe title, so all eyes will be on who the judges pick to represent their country in the Philippines,” said Francisco Giménez, general manager of Cable Networks for Hemisphere Media Group, Centroamérica TV’s parent company.
