EWTN: Available for free for all new TV technologies

The EWTN Catholic channel has been around for more than 40 years and as time goes by it has adapted to the different ways of audiovisual consumption. Amparo Pérez, International Marketing Manager, EWTN, said at Andina Link 2023 that they can also be tuned in IPTV, VOD, and OTT.
“Our 24-hour signal for Latin America has always been free and it can be purchased by any operator. With these new technologies, our transmission agreement grants the operator legal authorization to carry our signal in any of these modalities,” said Pérez.
She adds that the intention of the channel is to “nurture the spirit,” so they seek to reach people through any window available. “We are also on YouTube, you can see us on the website and we have our own app. A few years ago we promoted the slogan ‘EWTN everywhere’ and this has not changed.”
Pérez assured that the Catholic religion prevails in the Andean region, which is why their signal appeals to many cable operators, as she has shown at the fair. “People from Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, Central America, and Colombia have reached us here to learn a little more about the channel. Many know us, but several did not know that we are a free signal,” she concluded.
