Led by former Disney and Discovery executive Carolina Lightcap, alongside TV producer Mariano Chihade (Mandarina), Demián Falestchi (Kidscorp), and Federico Lauría (DalePlay), the new studio and ecosystem will focus on premium digital content for Gen Z, designed for YouTube, TikTok, and social media platforms.
ShowUp Studios plans to produce more than 4,500 episodes within its first five years, spanning a variety of genres, formats, and durations, including both vertical and horizontal content, in live action and animation.
“ShowUp Studios is born with the ambition to build a premium, scalable digital content studio and ecosystem deeply centered on Gen Z—meeting this generation on the platforms where they already live; ensuring their voice is present at every stage of the process; and listening to their feedback daily to deliver the content they are looking for,” said Lightcap.
“We are combining experience in large-scale formats with the new consumption dynamics of this generation, including vertical and horizontal formats, different genres and durations, and collaboration with creators in a natively digital language,” added Chihade.
Lauría emphasized that “ShowUp Studios will be a space to discover and promote Ibero-American artistic talent, supporting its development within an ecosystem designed to create long-term opportunities.”

The studio’s creative and operational approach is based on an ecosystem aimed at building fandom and community; producing authentic and culturally relevant content for Gen Z; maintaining high production standards combined with storytelling designed to generate emotional connection; developing intellectual property with a focus on scalability; and strategically using data and artificial intelligence, with insights that support creative development, distribution, and brand integration opportunities.
ShowUp Studios is already generating market interest as part of its pre-seed round. In the second half of the year, the company will hold Upfront meetings to present its IP to advertisers ahead of production.
