Irantzu Diez Gamboa, CEO of Mediapro North America, noted that the company strengthened its technical capabilities in Mexico City, New York, and Miami

2025 was a key year for Mediapro North America, as it succeeded in consolidating its operations in the U.S. and Mexico as a “strategic hub for the region, supporting highly relevant sporting events in the cycle leading up to the FIFA World Cup 2026,” Irantzu Diez Gamboa, CEO of Mediapro North America, told PRODU.

Diez Gamboa noted that the company strengthened its technical capabilities in Mexico City, New York, and Miami, and took a decisive step in integrating teams, processes, and technology. “This has allowed us to operate with greater solidity, efficiency, and responsiveness to increasingly complex projects,” she said.

READY FOR LARGE-SCALE PRODUCTIONS

The executive said the evolution of the operation has been very positive. “We have grown steadily, not only in project volume but also in the level of demand and responsibility. We have consolidated highly specialized local teams, optimized workflows, and reinforced our clients’ trust in North America. Today, Mediapro North America is a mature operation, ready to take on large-scale productions and to support the growth of the sports market,” she pointed out.

LESSONS FROM SPORTING EVENTS

She recalled that in 2025 they acted as a strategic technical and operational partner for major sporting events, “participating in the production and support of Concacaf matches and tournaments across North, Central America, and the Caribbean; World Cup 2026 qualifying matches; VAR production in the region; and multiple international friendlies. These projects have provided valuable lessons in multi-site coordination, operational planning, and process standardization, all essential to ensuring consistency and quality in high-impact events.”

While football remains central to Mediapro, in 2025 they also worked on motorsports, combat sports, tennis, baseball, and basketball events.

Diez Gamboa highlighted the Unrivaled 3×3 women’s league in the U.S., broadcast by TNT and turned into an international phenomenon, where they transformed the Miami studios into an arena for more than 1,000 spectators per game. “We are already preparing the second season for the first quarter of 2026, along with other projects that consolidate Mediapro North America as a trusted partner and technical benchmark,” she said.

She also mentioned the production of NBA games for all of Latin America via Amazon Video.

“This diversity demonstrates our flexibility and ability to adapt technical solutions to different disciplines and audiences,” she commented.

KEY PROJECTS OF 2025

In addition to major projects for international and regional clients carried out in 2025—such as Concacaf tournaments, World Cup 2026 qualifying matches, the BKB league, Unrivaled, boxing fights for Netflix and Jake Paul, PPL padel tournaments, among others—Mediapro North America provided live production, technical operations, mobile unit deployment, and comprehensive broadcast support. They also produced events organized directly in the U.S.

YONKERS STUDIOS ACTIVE IN 2026

Asked whether they had made any technology upgrades, Diez Gamboa said they invested in technology to increase production capacity, improve remote workflows, and strengthen operational reliability in Miami and Mexico City.

“These improvements allow us to handle simultaneous productions and respond with greater agility. In 2026, our Yonkers studios will be active and ready for major productions,” she announced.

MOST IN-DEMAND SERVICES

Asked about the types of services clients are requesting, the executive cited end-to-end live event production, broadcast technical services, mobile units, and remote production solutions.

“There has been growing demand for integrated services that combine traditional production with multiplatform content and digital workflows, including cloud-based production and content for social media,” she said.

Diez Gamboa emphasized that mobile units were key in 2025 to ensuring quality standards in large-scale events and multi-site productions, “especially in international tournaments and qualifying matches. Their deployment ensured technical consistency, operational flexibility, and efficient response times across the region,” she concluded.
