Pablo Culell of Underground to Lead Telemundo’s Linear and Streaming Content

Pablo Culell, VP of Original Content Development and Head of Teleseries at Underground, will take on additional responsibilities alongside his current role at Underground following the departure of Mónica Albuquerque, Senior VP of Content and Development, who will leave Telemundo as of Friday, May 15.

Culell will help lead the development of both linear and streaming content at Telemundo Studios, with the support of Albuquerque and Javier Pons, Chief Content Officer & Head of Telemundo Studios, during this transition period.

Culell is an executive with extensive production experience and a strong track record in developing and producing internationally successful scripted franchises.

In 2006, he co-founded Underground Producciones with Sebastián Ortega, a company acquired by Telemundo in 2019. Since then, he has led high-profile projects such as El Marginal, En el Barro, and Dear Killer Nannies for networks and streaming platforms in Argentina and across Latin America, including Netflix, Amazon, and Disney/Hulu.
