Prismáticoos to Launch Prisma+ with 150 Original Microseries and Six Monthly Premieres

Carlos and Luis Solís, Founding Partners of Prismáticoos

More than nine years ago, Prismáticoos founders Carlos and Luis Solís began creating short-form scripted stories for social media (now known as microdramas), building over nearly a decade an audience that now exceeds 130 million followers across their YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok accounts.

PRISMÁTICOOS BETS ON ITS OWN PLATFORM

That audience is now organically migrating to Prisma+, the company’s proprietary platform, which is already available in the Google Play and Apple app stores. Its official launch is scheduled for late 2026.

With the official launch, the company plans to accelerate its original content production and expand its presence in the U.S. Hispanic market—the world’s most valuable territory for the microdrama format—as well as throughout the rest of Latin America.

“We’ve spent nine years telling these stories and understanding this audience. Spanish-language microdramas cannot simply be translations of Asian content; they need to be produced by people who know the audience watching them. We’re not entering this industry—we’ve been doing it since before it even had a name,” said Luis Solís, Co-Founder of Prismáticoos.

Prismáticoos operates as a vertically integrated production company, writing, producing, distributing, and monetizing its own content with a team of more than 100 employees and its own production studios in Guadalajara. Unlike the traditional project-based production model, the company keeps writers, producers, directors, and even actors on full-time staff—a structure built over many years that enables it to produce content at costs 40% lower than traditional Mexican production companies. Its distribution network spans more than 50 digital platform channels.

PRISMA+ TO DEBUT WITH 150 ORIGINAL MICROSERIES

Prisma+ will operate under a hybrid business model, offering weekly, monthly, and annual VIP subscriptions for an ad-free viewing experience, while also allowing users to unlock individual episodes by watching advertisements. The model is designed specifically for Hispanic audiences across Latin America and the United States.

At launch, the platform will feature a catalog of 150 original microseries and will premiere up to six new in-house productions every month.

A key technical differentiator sets the company apart: every production is filmed and edited twice—once in vertical format for mobile viewing and once in horizontal widescreen format, which can be enjoyed within Prisma+ simply by rotating the phone, without rescaling the content. The widescreen version can also be streamed directly to television.

For the industry, the implications are significant: every title is created ready for licensing to traditional streaming platforms and television networks, a market that microdramas produced exclusively in vertical format cannot access.

BUSINESS MODEL COMBINES ADVERTISING AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

To lead its commercial strategy, the company has appointed Ricardo Vázquez, an executive with more than 20 years of experience in television advertising sales at TV Azteca. He will oversee advertising sales and branded content integrations for Prisma+ from the company’s sales offices in Mexico City, where he works directly with brands and agencies. The platform is launching with several major brands already signed on for product integrations and advertising placements within its content.

“After two decades selling broadcast television, the opportunity is here: measurable audiences, an agile production company that seamlessly integrates brands into viral content, and now advertising within its own distribution platform. This is the future of the industry,” said Vázquez.

“Nine years of building an audience taught us exactly what stories people want to watch. We’ll launch with 150 original microseries and the ability to premiere six more every month—a pace that’s only possible when you own the entire production pipeline. The official launch at the end of 2026 is just the beginning,” concluded Carlos Solís.
