Presentacion El Recluso

Telemundo presented the pre-launch of El Recluso (13×60’) in Mexico City, Telemundo International Studios’ first original production in short format. Marcos Santana, president of Telemundo Global Studios, chose a team of big talents, both in front and behind cameras, for this production that will be launched on Tuesday 25 at 10pm.

Marcos Santana commented that this prison thriller came up on a trip to Buenos Aires where he saw El Marginal, an Underground production together with Televisión Pública Argentina, using it as a foundation for this story.

“I made up an extraordinary tale on the border between the US and Mexico, and it seemed a unique opportunity to make a great fiction story and show the crude reality of our jails in Latin America. El Recluso is going to be very entertaining, it is going to captivate us, but it is going to leave us thinking about a very serious problem we have in the region.”

Likewise, he thanked all those who were determined to produce the series. “From Telemundo Studios, we are working to satisfy the demand of the audience, that are very high-quality products. El Recluso is proof that in Latin America we are capable of making products of this caliber.”

El Recluso stars Ignacio Serricchio and Ana Claudia Talancón. The executive production is under the responsibility of Marcos Santana, Inna Payán, Ana Paula Valdovinos and Sebastián Ortega. The directors are Jorge Colón, Mariano Arda, az and Alfonso Pineda. The script was adapted by Joaquín Casasola, Enrique Vázquez and Gerónimo Barriga, and Santana was in charge of the adaptation concept.
