The Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League (LBPRC), known as La Pro, and TelevisaUnivision announced a three-year partnership to broadcast Puerto Rican winter baseball games in the continental U.S. through ViX. The agreement will expand La Pro’s reach and bring the action of its six franchises closer to the more than 6 million Puerto Ricans living in the U.S.
The partnership will begin with the 2026-2027 season, which starts next Wednesday, November 4, and will run through the 2028-2029 season. Coverage will include regular season and postseason games, including the semifinal series and the final series, with play-by-play and commentary in Spanish.
This agreement represents a significant step in La Pro’s efforts to expand its presence in the U.S. market and strengthen ties with the Puerto Rican diaspora.
“This three-year partnership with TelevisaUnivision represents an important step in the growth and reach of our league. It is a source of great satisfaction for us that Puerto Ricans living in the U.S. will be able to continue enjoying our professional baseball, its teams, and a tradition that is part of our identity as a people. Through ViX, we will have the opportunity to bring La Pro closer to a wider audience and continue strengthening the presence of Puerto Rican professional baseball outside the Island,” said Juan A. Flores Galarza, president of LBPRC.
Broadcasts through ViX will include games from all six participating franchises: Cangrejeros de Santurce, Leones de Ponce, Gigantes de Carolina, Criollos de Caguas, Indios de Mayagüez, and Senadores de San Juan.

The collaboration will also provide greater visibility to the players, franchises, and baseball tradition of Puerto Rico before a wider audience, while strengthening the presence of winter baseball within TelevisaUnivision’s sports offering.
“Baseball is a fundamental part of the cultural identity of millions of Puerto Ricans, both on and off the island. Bringing La Pro to ViX allows fans in the U.S. to stay connected to their roots throughout the season, from opening day to the final series, and adds to TelevisaUnivision’s offering a league that has shaped generations of Puerto Rican baseball talent,” said Marco Liceaga, Senior VP of Sports Rights Acquisition and Business Partnerships at TelevisaUnivision.
