Lee will continue to report to Randy Falco, president and CEO of UCI. In this position, Lee will be responsible for UCI’s News, Entertainment, and Digital content across platforms, as well as the Company’s Music efforts. He will continue to oversee FMG, which includes UCI’s interests in Fusion and El Rey as well as The Root, The Onion, A.V. Club, Clickhole, Flama, Univision Digital and Univision Music. The rapid pace of change in the industry requires us at Univision to continually disrupt the media landscape and I am confident that our leadership team will continue to focus on our mission, on serving our diverse audiences and on leading in the industry,” said Falco. Lee will continue to work closely with Televisa, and will continue to develop the newly launched Storyhouse, UCI’s development and production arm led by Camila Jiménez-Villa and Juan Rendón, which recently announced the co-production of a series with Netflix, El Chapo, based on the life story of one of the world’s most notorious criminals, and has also inked a content deal with HBO. Lee will also oversee UCI’s joint venture with Patricio Wills, W Studios. “We have successfully transformed Univision into a multimedia industry leader and I look forward to working with our leadership team to further elevate our efforts and compete – and win – across platforms.
