This year’s Univision Feliz 2020 edition was the program’s highest-rated performance since 2014 among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49.
The five-hour telecast, beginning at 8pm on Tuesday, December 31st, averaged 2 million Total Viewers 2+, 830,000 Adults 18-49 and 371,000 Adults 18-34 (highest rated in the demo since 2017), and reached 7.9 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the entire broadcast. Double-digit audience growth versus its 2018 airing among Total Viewers 2+ (+37%), Adults 18-49 (+41%) and Adults 18-34 (+40%).
The show positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the entire night (8pm-11pm), with 2x to 3x more Total Viewers 2+ (+250% adv.; 1.7 million vs. 492,000), Adults 18-49 (+230% adv.; 703,000 vs. 213,000) and Adults 18-34 (+158% adv.; 315,000 vs. 122,000) than Telemundo.
Positioned Univision ahead of CBS among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 during primetime (8-11pm).
Feliz 2020 (8pm-1:04am) outperformed CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live broadcast (8pm-01:29am) by significant margins among Total U.S. audiences, including Total Viewers 2+ (+31% adv.; 2.0 million vs. 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+74% adv.; 830,000 vs. 476,000) and Adults 18-34 (+129% adv.; 371,000 vs. 162,000).
Feliz 2020 (8pm-1:04am) also ranked as the most-watched program, regardless of language, on all of television with Hispanic viewers that included Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in primetime.
Univision’s Feliz 2020 ranked as the No. 1 most-social Spanish-language TV program for the entire day with 511K interactions. Univision ranked as the No. 2 most-social Broadcast network regardless of language on #SocialTV for the entire day.
