ViX Premieres Bajo Un Volcán, William Levy’s First Feature Film Shot in Spain

ViX announced it will exclusively premiere Bajo Un Volcán, an action-romance film starring William Levy and Maggie Civantos, on November 21 on its premium service.
Filmed in Tenerife, Bajo Un Volcán combines romance and action against the backdrop of a natural disaster. The film follows Captain Mario Torres (William Levy), a military pilot and evacuation expert who arrives on the island after several seismic movements are detected and the area is placed on alert. Although the volcano seems to have calmed, Dani (Maggie Civantos), a volcanologist, warns that it’s a false calm. No one believes her…until the volcano erupts. Amid danger and uncertainty, the two find themselves caught between the forces of nature and their own feelings.
The film is directed by Martín Cuervo (La Bandera, Todos lo hacen) and features performances by Fabiola Guajardo (Los ricos también lloran), Adriana Torrebejano (Muertos S.L.), Elia Galera (Zorro), Antón Lofer (La Bandera), and Pino Montesdeoca (Way Down).
“I’m thrilled to premiere my first film shot in Spain and to do so with ViX, a service that connects in such a special way with Spanish-speaking audiences,” said William Levy, actor and executive producer of the film.
The film is produced by Eduardo Campoy and David Martínez (Secuoya Studios), together with William Levy Entertainment for ViX, and marks William Levy’s film debut in Spain. Following its theatrical release in Spanish cinemas, the film will be available exclusively in the United States and Latin America on ViX.
