The 3% Movement has announced that its seventh conference will be held in Chicago next November 8-9 under the title Bring It, and outstanding among the speakers will be Cortez Brothers President Bernadette Rivero. “I’m thrilled to see the number of Latino women speaking at the 3% Conference. Evita Puente, for example, I can only describe as phenomenal” Rivero said. “In the U.S. Hispanic market it’s obvious you’re going to see a great many Latino names and points of view, but it is very rare indeed to have so many Latino women taking part in a general market conference.” Rivero will share the stage with a number of total market executives including Global CCO Susan Credle of FCB, Mother USA CCO Corinna Falusi, the founder of Make Love Not Porn, Cindy Gallop, and senior writer Tahirah Edwards Byfield of 72andSunny. “What I am taking to the audience is a part of what I’ve learned since I began working in advertising at the age of 14 – my first office job was at an in-house agency,” she said.According to Rivero, it is exceptional for a Hispanic woman to address a general market conference. The 3% Movement´s annual meetings have been held in New York and San Francisco. “It’s a creative canvas for us to reimagine the guest experience and to refresh the community with new agencies and brands who haven’t yet experienced 3%’s special breed of magic” the organization said on its website.
