As part of its live entertainment slate, Telemundo continues to spotlight reality franchises that drive daily engagement, social conversation, and multiplatform viewing, including La Casa de los Famosos, Top Chef VIP, and Exatlón EE. UU., which returns for its eleventh season.
Among its new reality formats, Telemundo is introducing Operación Triunfo, hosted by Mexican actress, TV host, and media personality Natalia Téllez. Operación Triunfo is a global music competition in which a group of young artists live and train together in an academy while being filmed 24/7. Each week, they perform in high-profile live galas, both individually and as groups, competing for the opportunity to launch a professional music career.
Guided by a panel of judges and industry mentors, contestants are evaluated on their talent, growth, and performance, while audiences play a key role in determining who advances. Blending artistic training, real-life moments, and top-tier musical performances, the series offers a compelling journey of personal ambition, creativity, and transformation.
Another new format is Juego de Villanos (working title), which brings together some of the most controversial personalities from Spanish-language reality television in a high-stakes competition centered on strategy, conflict, and survival. Living under one roof, participants must navigate shifting alliances, outmaneuver rivals, and adapt to a constantly evolving game where trust is scarce and every move has consequences.
Through a series of physical, mental, and social challenges, contestants compete to avoid elimination and gain control of the house. In the end, only one will outlast the others to claim the title of ultimate “Supervillain” and win a cash prize.
As part of its ongoing evolution, Telemundo is entering the film business for the first time with the release of its original movie La Vida Ideal, marking a new chapter in the company’s content strategy. The production underscores Telemundo’s commitment to creating premium, culturally relevant content that connects with audiences across formats and platforms.
Set during the holiday season, La Vida Ideal follows a man whose attempt to create the perfect life through artificial intelligence leads him to confront deeper questions about identity, personal fulfillment, and what truly matters.
Blending humor, emotion, and a contemporary perspective, the film explores the tension between aspiration and reality through a distinctly Latino lens, delivering a timely and emotionally resonant story that expands Telemundo’s storytelling into new formats and audiences.
