Two productions by Dhana Media, Calle y Poché: Sin Etiquetas (8×60′) and Batalla en Abuela’s Kitchen (6×30′) debuted on Friday the 23rd on the Amazon and Roku platforms, respectively.

Mari Urdaneta, CEO of 200% Media, and executive producer of these formats, is the former CCO of Dhana Media, the production company behind these two shows. She said, regarding Calle and Poché: Sin Etiquetas, that for Dhana Media, the motto has always been to create shows rarely seen in Spanish-speaking media. “This show proudly covers topics that need representation. The company’s collaboration with 3Ball Productions, Miracol TV, LatinWE and Prime Video raised Calle and Poché: Sin Etiquetas to the premium level it deserves.”

Referring to Batalla en Abuela’s Kitchen, Urdaneta said: “We wanted to create a fun format that could bring families together, so we are proud that Batalla en Abuela’s Kitchen delivers on that. Our Development executive, Xianelly Guzmán, came up with this concept which gives a nod to a figure that every family around the world loves: Grandma. Since Roku streaming is free, families will easily be able to chher up the show’s multi-generational competitors.”

Calle y Poché: Sin Etiquetas is a new Colombian docuseries, developed by Dhana Media for Amazon Original, that covers the lives of social media stars Daniela Calle (Calle) and María José Garzón (Poché) and their close circle of friends, who are also very promising figures of the country. Dhana Media CFO, Liliana Moyano served as co-showrunner, co-director, and EP.

In Batalla en Abuela’s Kitchen a group of young cooks will challenge the queens of the kitchen, the grandmothers. Mario Ruiz, a Colombian multi-platform star, hosts the contest where Gen Z competes against grandma for a cash prize of US$5,000.

The grandmother team includes experienced cooks including Afro-Caribbean food content creator Carla Dawkins (Panama), actress Eneida Mascetti (Puerto Rico) and attorney Patty Lavalle (Mexico). The show was launched by Roku in its May NewFront; it was created by Xianelly Guzmán and developed by Moira Noriega as showrunner.

The series features three Latino judges: investigative pastry chef and gourmet Margarita Bernal (Colombia); the owner of the Malva restaurant, Adolfo Cavile (Peru) and the ambassador of Mexican cuisine in Colombia and owner of the Chilango taco shop, Octavio Ortega (Mexico).
