Univision News appoints John B. Pérez to SVP of Production and Technical Operations

Univision News announces the appointment of John B. Pérez to the post of SVP, Production and Technical Operations, reporting directly to Daniel Coronell, president, Univision News.

In his new role, Pérez will lead and manage all technical and operational aspects of the award-winning news division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), headquartered at Newsport: a state-of-the-art facility in Doral, Florida.

Pérez will oversee the technical side of special news projects such as election coverage, live debates, investigative reports, and breaking news stories, among others. He will work closely with all News and Digital departments, show production teams, and local news producers to ensure that the highest technical standards are met in all news programming across the board, consistently maintaining the level of excellence that characterizes Univision News. Additionally, he will collaborate with various UCI departments on major projects and events when needed.
