The Hispanic agency won a bronze in the 2016 CLIO Awards for Döppelganger Tourists for the Mexico Tourism Board in Brand Entertainment: Film, the piece was also recognized in shortlist. Luciana Cani, SVP and Executive Creative Director at LAPIZ said to PRODU that it’s always satisfying to see their work being recognized among the best of the world. “The Mexico Tourism Board is the kind of client that challenges and pushes us. They believe in creativity to surprise and connect with people and always expects our cutting edge creativity” she said. Partnership, trust and commitment are the elements that can be found within the relationship between LAPIZ and the Mexico Tourism Board, she said. “These components make it possible to develop projects and partnerships beyond the U.S. It’s important that both sides work in the same direction with the same goals: to produce the best work and the best results.” The spot Doppelgänger Tourists consisted in looking for two workaholics and using identical twins to show them all they’ve missed by never taking vacations to Mexico. According to the agency’s numbers, 41% of Americans did not go on vacations. Hispanic agencies won 10 CLIO awards and six shortlists.
