La Liberación (7x60’)
For Exile Content Studio, producing the series La Liberación (7×60’) in collaboration with FIFTH SEASON (formerly Endeavor Studios) for Amazon Prime Video, directed by Alejandra Márquez, marks a double win. La Liberación debuted on the platform this past Friday, the 17th, with all episodes available.
“On one hand, this is our first project with Amazon Prime, one of the largest, most interesting, and powerful platforms. Having a project with them is fantastic. On the other hand, working with Alejandra Márquez, one of the most recognized and talented directors—not just in Mexico but across the region—is equally amazing,” shared Arturo Sampson, Head of Production and Executive Producer, and Jan Suter Warnholz, Executive Producer, both from Exile Content Studio.
They emphasized that this series positions Exile as a major player among Latin American studios and Spanish-language content producers.

According to Sampson and Suter, La Liberación stands apart from anything else produced in Latin America, particularly in Mexico. “It’s disruptive, bold, intelligent, yet beautiful. However, despite these attributes, indeed, platforms often struggle to fit projects like this into their metrics and algorithms. Thankfully, Amazon Prime understood the vision and allowed Ale Márquez to bring it to life. Alonso Aguilar, an Amazon executive involved from the project’s inception, played a key role in making it happen and giving Márquez incredible creative freedom,” they explained.
This project demonstrates what happens for the producers when creatives are given free rein and trusted to execute their vision, supported by a studio and platform that act as partners in the process. “It’s a very special project for everyone involved, and we believe the result is fantastic,” they noted.

They also highlighted the series’ stellar cast, featuring Ilse Salas, Johanna Murillo, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Diego Boneta, Ofelia Medina, and Dolores Heredia. “It’s a dream cast,” they remarked.
Additionally, the project aligns with one of Exile’s key goals: “To collaborate with top-tier creatives and deliver powerful projects,” they concluded.
