Useche: My role is not relevant. What´s important are the stories and the people who tell them
Telemundo Internacional launched El Lado Humano de la Fama (12×60´) with excellent results on June 19th at 8pm. It had an excellent response, said María Elena Useche, president of High Hill, host, producer and program creator of the series. We are very happy. We did very well and we expect to do even better. The response on social networks has been wonderful. Other open TV screens in Latin America are now interested, but we must wait a six-month exclusivity period bought by Telemundo. Cisneros Media has the distribution of the property, informed Useche, who expects the series to reach the Hispanic audience in the US.She explained that when they were looking for the program talent, they realized they needed a host who was certified as a coach. Costs were rising excessively, so they suggested I do the job. It has been very rewarding, because we are seeking a different format, in which the most important thing is the story, therefore my role is not relevant. I thought about going back to the camera, but things happen in a strange way, she said. Useche´s last appearance on screen was in 2007. She said it was a very serious work that took two years of preparation, including several previous interviews with the stars and a great deal of research.
