Merzigo, the global media technology company powering premium content distribution and monetization across YouTube and Facebook, today unveiled four new businesses – Merzigo Studios, Merzigo Platforms, Merzigo Ad Alliance and Merzigo Academy – and announced a $200 million commitment to content investment in 2027.
The announcement marks the next phase of Merzigo’s growth, expanding the business around its established global monetization engine into content investment and production, technology, advertising and talent. It follows the full deployment of Merzigo’s $150 million content investment commitment for 2026, with the company now targeting accelerated growth in the United States.
During 2026, Merzigo onboarded more than 20 new partners, signed multi-million-dollar agreements with leading media companies and talent, funded more than 2,000 hours of YouTube-first content and invested in more than 100 hours of scripted programming.
At the center of Merzigo is its established global monetization business, operating premium content at scale, building audiences and creating sustainable revenue for partners across major digital platforms.
Around that core, Merzigo is bringing together four distinct businesses, each with its own mandate and growth path.
Merzigo Studios is the group’s content investment, licensing and production business. It identifies and licenses premium content and IP, invests directly in content and provides the capital and structures that enable new productions to come to life, spanning YouTube-first, scripted and unscripted projects.
Merzigo Platforms represents the group’s award-winning technology, product and engineering capability, developing the infrastructure, integrations and products that enable Merzigo’s content operations to scale globally. The company is a winner of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2025 award, features on the Deloitte Fast Company’s Top 100 Internet Companies list and holds both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
Merzigo Ad Alliance is an independent advertising sales business, extending Merzigo’s commercial capabilities by connecting global brands with premium audiences and inventory. It will launch initially in EMEA, with further markets to follow.
Merzigo Academy, established in 2021, is Merzigo’s talent and knowledge business. It has already trained and developed close to 1,500 people and will now extend its programs and expertise to the wider industry. Accessible via web and mobile the Academy provides 20+ hours of annual instruction, scaling professional development across 15+ functions and 96 essential topics.
The structure enables Merzigo to work with partners further across the content lifecycle, from securing rights and financing projects through to production, global distribution and monetization. By bringing these capabilities together, Merzigo can support content owners and creators from earlier stages of a project through to reaching audiences and generating revenue across markets and platforms.
Yigit Dogan Celik, Chairman & CEO of Merzigo, said: “We have built Merzigo around a powerful core monetization business, and over the past several years have developed significant capabilities in content, technology, advertising and talent around it. Bringing these businesses together as distinct companies marks the next stage of that development. Each has its own mandate and ambition, while together they strengthen what we can offer partners and the value we can create across the content lifecycle.”
Merzigo fully deployed its US$150 million content investment commitment in 2026, supporting more than 20 new partners and investment across content, licensing, production and YouTube growth.
During the year, Merzigo signed multi-million-dollar agreements around content, studio integration, licensing and YouTube growth with companies and talent including ITV, NBCUniversal, Banijay, All3Media, David Letterman and Steve Harvey.
For 2027, Merzigo is increasing its content investment commitment to US$200 million.
The investment will focus on three areas: major strategic agreements with leading studios, broadcasters, and producers; licensing premium content and rights for new territories, audiences and platforms; and direct investment through Merzigo Studios in YouTube-first, scripted and unscripted productions.
Ceyda Sıla Çetinkaya, LL.M. COO, Merzigo, Global said: “We successfully deployed the $150 million we committed to content investment in 2026, and that investment has enabled us to expand our partner base, invest in thousands of hours of content and deepen our relationships across the global media industry. We are now increasing that commitment to $200 million for 2027, with the US at the heart of our next phase of growth. We see significant opportunity to deepen our relationships with the world’s leading content owners, producers and talent and to bring more premium content into our global ecosystem.”
The United States will be Merzigo’s primary growth market in 2027, with the company targeting deeper relationships with major US studios, broadcasters, producers and talent.
The $200 million commitment will support increased volumes of U.S. premium content and rights entering the Merzigo ecosystem, expanded licensing activity, U.S.-based content investment and production, and landmark YouTube-first projects with international potential.
Merzigo will also continue to build its content, commercial, technology and operational capabilities in the U.S., while maintaining its growth across the UK and EMEA.
