Cast of Desiguales: Migbelis Castellanos, Dr. Nancy Álvarez, Adamari López, Karina Banda, and Amara La Negra
We Love Entertainment has secured the international distribution rights for its production Desiguales, with the exception of the Mexican territory. Carlos Mesber, CEO of We Love Entertainment, stated that obtaining the international distribution rights for Desiguales is a key step for the company. “This allows us to bring a format that is already successful and proven in key markets like the U.S. to new global audiences. Mexico, indeed, is a territory that is not available, but we are now opening up opportunities in Latin America, Europe, and any Spanish-speaking market, allowing Desiguales to connect with audiences seeking authentic, diverse, and up-to-date content,” he said.
Desiguales, which has been on the air for over a year in the U.S. through Univision, is led by a diverse panel of personalities that includes Adamari López, Amara La Negra, Nancy Álvarez, Karina Banda, and Migbelis Castellanos.
“This is the first time we are officially opening the possibility of bringing this show to other countries, marking the beginning of its international expansion,” added Mesber.
Mesber stated that this represents “an important recognition of the quality of our work and the strength of the format. We know that TelevisaUnivision is very selective with its content, and the fact that they trust us with the international expansion of Desiguales is a significant vote of confidence. Moreover, it’s an example of how our vision of creating authentic, modern, and emotionally impactful TV has real value in the global market.”
The executive announced that Desiguales will be part of the portfolio presented at LA Screenings and in major content markets worldwide. Guadalupe D’Agostino of Miami Open Media is in charge of the international distribution of Desiguales and the rest of We Love Entertainment’s content.
“We are in advanced negotiations with several territories in Latin America and expect to close the first deals in the coming weeks. The interest it has generated has been very positive, thanks to its flexible format and the relevance of its international cast,” he explained.
